Artist Bio

Stephanie Chambers is a visual artist based in Central Texas. She creates paintings and drawings that delve into the intricate dynamics of our relationship with the natural world. Often immersing herself directly within outdoor settings, her on-site work serves as a profound exploration of the mental, physical, and spiritual connections that bind humanity to the earth. Stephanie's artwork reaches a broad audience through national and international exhibitions in juried shows and within esteemed print publications. Her academic foundation includes a Master of Fine Arts in Painting earned at Northern Illinois University in 2014, preceded by a Master of Arts (2011) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (2008) in Painting and Printmaking from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and an Associate of Arts from Temple College (2005). Since graduating in 2014, Stephanie has been dedicated to art education at the university level, culminating in her current position as Associate Professor and Chair of the Art Department at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she passionately guides and mentors the next generation of artists.
